Yaya Han Bio

Yaya Han was born on the 10th of April which makes her an Aries. She is of Chinese descent, but she grew up in Germany. As a result of this, she is fluent in Chinese, German, English, and she can also speak some Latin, Spanish, Japanese and French.

Yaya works as a Model, Costume Designer and of course, a Cosplay Entertainer. She currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to this however, she moved around quite a lot. She has also lived in: Guang Zhou, China; Xian, China; Wiesbaden, Germany; Las Vegas, Nevada, and Tucson, Arizona.

She lists her passions as musicals, ancient cultures, cars, art, spicy food, theatre, cats, animals in general, photography, fashion, and makeup.

Yaya was first introduced to the unique creative pastime of cosplay back in 1999 when she was a young fan at Anime Expo. Prior to that, Yaya had no special training in crafting or sewing.

Yaya has always had the gift of being artistic, especially when it comes to pen and ink illustrations. This led her to quickly become interested in the very heart and soul of costume making.

Yaya taught herself everything she knows. This was largely due to the fact that she lacked both the funds and resources to take formal classes in costume design or fashion.

Back in the day, she was only able to purchase an old, used $40 sewing machine and a book on sewing from a local thrift store. Because of this, Yaya credits her persistence in spite of repeated failures, for teaching herself costume creation.
